Brandon J. Woods

Scientist, musician, Fight 4 Your Life lead / co-producer and overall Renaissance Man, Brandon J. Woods knows the hunger of earnest desire, the recipe for ambition, and the savory taste of achievement. Born in an inner-city drug stricken community of the late 1980s, Brandon emerged from humble beginnings. Concomitantly, he understands the nature of adversity and the will to overcome. As an adolescent, Brandon possessed a strong appreciation for the arts and science, interests that would eventually mature into a passion for music, acting and biomedical research. After graduating high school, Brandon matriculated into the University of California, Davis, where he would obtain a Bachelors of Science degree in Microbiology while concurrently developing his talents as an athlete, songwriter and musical producer.

Following his years as an undergraduate, Brandon continued to refine his skills as an artist while also attaining his Masters Degree in Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco.  As of the fall of 2013, Brandon now resides in Boston, MA, having matriculated into Harvard School of Medicine, where he is currently earning his PhD.

Brandon has a special affinity for F4YL, and particularly the character of Fleet Blackwood. Brandon says:

“Fleet’s story embodies the very essence of my life; the tale of an ambitious boy from a broken home, burdened with the weight of the world on his shoulders; however, blessed with the virtue of sincerity and conviction, is a story I have lived on all accounts.  Moreover, I am deeply moved by the moral undertone of the film.  I am a firm believer that the undertaking of great success and happiness in life is predicated upon self belief, principality and faith.  I feel F4YL does a wholesome job at illustrating the importance of all 3 attributes.”

Brandon ended his statement about the movie by saying:

“Furthermore, what better a thing to fight for than the vitality of one’s dreams?  Fore, a life without the vitality of wonder is no life at all.”

In addition to helping off camera as a co-producer on the project, Brandon plays Fleet Blackwood, the protagonist of Fight 4 Your Life.  We are thankful to have Brandon back for this feature length version of F4YL, with Brandon also having played the role of Fleet in the short version of F4YL from 2012Truly, Fight 4 Your Life is fortunate to have someone on board with the multitude of passion, talents and dedication Brandon possesses.

Kaveh Rezaie

A dedicated actor and father, Kaveh was approached to play the principal role of Ahiga Montejo in Fight 4 Your Life.  After an excellent audition, it was apparent Kaveh was perfect for the character.

My producer Alonzo Chism and I knew he was right for Ahiga as soon as he left the room.  His mellow attitude and willingness to dive into the character made it an easy decision.

Bryan Bachar   Director

Throughout the production process Kaveh has been a huge help, not only by being a very professionally-minded actor, but also by often lending a hand behind the scenes.  Without his diligence, patience and focus, F4YL would not be turning out to be the fantastic film it is.

Kaveh resides in Sacramento with his lovely wife and children.  He is thoroughly thrilled to be a part of Fight 4 Your Life and is dedicated to the process of seeing the film through to its completion.  Truly, Kaveh is a man of his word, someone every filmmaker would be lucky to have aboard.  We thank him for his continued hard work.

Tony “The Tiger” Lopez

3x World Champion Tony “The Tiger” Lopez is a name many people know when it comes to boxing.  A Sacramento native, Tony had a stellar professional boxing career, having had the kind of success all boxers strive for.  Out of the ring, Tony has continued to serve as an example of leadership and professionalism, owning and operating his own business for over a decade now.  Not unlike the character of Tony in F4YL, Tony acts as a role model and community leader.  He has played a key role in Fight 4 Your Life’s success so far, aiding our cast and crew throughout the production process.

When Tony came in to audition, I have to admit, I didn’t know who the hell he was.  I love boxing, but I’m not going to lie and say I follow it closely, although I can definitely see myself doing so more after this production.  All I knew is he was a former boxer who had some acting experience.  It was a funny circumstance really, because I had created the character of Tony “The Tiger” Mercado long before I even met Tony.  So, when he came to the audition and I learned of his name and nickname, I cracked up.  Then, when I saw the personality he possessed, I soon realized it was meant to be.  He was perfect for the role.  He was Tony “The Tiger” Mercado.

Tony has been a savior when it comes to this production.  Constantly helping the cause, he has spent time training our actors, choreographing fight sequences and pulling strings to get us key locations.  Not only is Tony a huge factor in the success of this film so far, he is also just a good dude.  I am nothing but happy to know him.  Like so many other persons I’ve gotten to know through this process, I look forward to having Tony not only as a colleague, but as a genuine friend, for the years to come.

Bryan Bachar    Director

Taking on the biggest role of his acting career, Tony is elated to be a part of Fight 4 Your Life.  The hours he has put into this project are enormous.  And he knows it will all be worth it in the end.  His professionalism and dedication are highly appreciated.

Aaron Joseph Griggs

Aaron Joseph Griggs is a multi-talented young man beyond his years, having ambitions in acting, dance and sports.  Many words can describe this success driven lad, but just a few are captivating, charming and determined.  An example of his drive would be how after living in Texas for two years, he decided to return to California to pursue his entertainment dreams.

The youthful Mr. Griggs is now attending Pinkerton Middle School, where he is the quarterback for the Wolf Pack football team.  The sky is the limit, but Aaron already has determined that when he grows up he either wants to play in the NFL or become a police officer….both honorable goals indeed!  His passion for sport allows him to demonstrate well his personal mantra to always strive to be the best, no matter what challenges might lay ahead.  Although Aaron has a lot on his plate, his academics always come first, and he takes pride in the work that he does.

Aaron really enjoyed his role in Fight 4 Your Life, for which he was able to conjure emotions from his own life experiences to really connect with his character.

“I lost my dad tragically six years ago.  He was my hero and now that I am older, I always try to protect my mom,” says Aaron.

Through such tough times and obstacles Aaron has become a stronger person, much like F4YL‘s main character Fleet Blackwood does throughout the diversity he faces throughout Fight 4 Your Life.  It’s amazing how much alike the two actually are!

Aaron is looking forward to seeing how the movie turns out, and is very happy to have had the opportunity to play a role in this exciting project, which has such an incredible cast.  Fight 4 Your Life might be Aaron’s first official film project, but he is just getting started.  His talent, charisma and passion will take him very far, not only in this industry, but also in life.  And we here at one studios look forward to watching this amazing young man grow and mature!

Eric Lawson

Eric “Lawless” Lawson is no stranger to fighting.  Having wrestled in high school, Eric was introduced to mixed martial arts by friend, UFC legend and Fight 4 Your Life supporter Urijah Faber, who he had met while attending UC Davis.  He quickly took to the sport.

Due to his successful career as a mixed martial artist, Eric knows what it’s like to step into the ring, or, in the MMA world, the cage.  His time as a professional fighter for MMA promotions Strikeforce and Gladiator Challenge taught him the keys to being a victor, not only in sport, but in life, carrying over to his career as a mortgage consultant, which he has also experienced great success in.

Another fun fact about Eric is in his youth he was a bit of a wild child.  His endless energy carried over well into extreme sports.  At one point he was a full time BMX competitor.  Many races did he win on the tracks.  Long story short, through his “live life to the fullest” mentality Mr. Lawson has found the equation for being a champion.  Success is in his DNA….a prime trait he shares with Fight 4 Your Life character and villain Hanson Hansome Kelly.

Having had a couple small roles in fighting based feature films TKO and Never Surrender, Eric caught the acting bug during his time as a professional mixed martial artist.  In fact, he claims:

“I actually had always wanted to act since I was a kid.  It was just one of those things that I never got a real chance to try.”

When the phone rang with the offer to go out for a lead role in F4YL, Eric was quite surprised.  His excitement was only challenged by his work and life responsibilities.  But in the end, after being offered the role, he knew playing Hanson Kelly was just too good of an opportunity to pass up.  No matter his schedule, he was determined to make it work.

“I just decided you only get opportunities so many times in life….I knew I would regret it later if I passed this movie (Fight 4 Your Life) up.  It was too awesome!”  – Eric Lawson

Eric played perfectly as Fleet Blackwood’s rival.  Truly, we couldn’t have asked for a better man for the job.  Thank you for all your hard work!  Look out for Eric’s future projects.  You never know where this social chameleon will turn up!

And if you’re ever in need of a mortgage revamp, please be sure to contact Eric at Pacific Funding Group in Concord, CA, where he is a Senior Mortgage Consultant.  His direct number is 925.771.4211

Hence Singleton

As a child of the 80‘s growing up in Milwaukee, WI, Hence has been entertaining since grade school.  In high school he participated in talent shows, as well as choir and drama club.  He also has made is part of his repertoire over the years to do impersonations of people like Michael Jackson, Tiger Woods, Muddy Waters and Jimi Hendrix.  Hence started comedy in the mid 90‘s when the MC did not show up for a male dance revue show.  So, the owners of the club tossed him out there for the wolves.  After 20 minutes of having the crowd eating out of his hand, a comic was born.

Hence has been inspired by such great comics before him like Richard Pryor, Andrew Dice Clay, DL Hughley and Ron White.  He found that comedy was a good way to express his views on life and all the strange things that happened on a daily basis.

The always busy Hence has performed at The Comedy Store, Haha Cafe, The LA Improv, The Laugh Factory, Jon Lovitz Up’N Comers Show, The Purple Onion, Tommy T’s and more.  He has also performed with Donnel Rawlings, Reginald Ballard, David Raibon and Mike Robles, amongst others.  Since Hence moved out to California, more opportunities have opened up to him.  He has appeared in La-Mission, The 420/360 web series and High Crimes.

Fight 4 Your Life is a step away from comedy for Hence.  But he has welcomed the opportunity with open arms and enthusiasm.  And his dedication to the project is astounding, having to regularly travel from the San Francisco Bay Area to make his obligations to the film.  We thank Hence tremendously for all of his diligence.

Look for Hence on Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, IMDb, YouTube or his own site HERE.  And here’s a quick snippet of Hence doin’ it up at one of his comedy shows!

Brian Jagger

Co-host of FitBody Focused & Weight Loss warrior on FitBodyRadio, Brian Jagger is an entrepreneur, working actor, writer, marketing consultant and personal trainer.  Jagger’s most recent short film screenplay entitled “The Lottery Ticket” is one of the ten winning scripts for the 14th annual Place Called Sacramento Film festival put on by Access Sacramento.  The film premiered October 6th, 2013 @1pm, at the Crest Theater in Sacramento, California.

In early 2013, Jagger helped co-found the video based social media platform VidGage, a social media platform that allows users to post video updates and uniquely allows followers to comment via video replies created through the platform (commenting with video).  VidGage even allows comments on comments.

As a writer Jagger has previously earned a “Best Original Script” ELLY nomination for his original play “The Interviews” which has been produced by three different theater groups in the Sacramento region since 2009.  Jagger also wrote and helped produce the webseries “Now Hiring” which is loosely based upon the play “The Interviews”.  The series can be viewed online at www.NowHiring.TV

As an actor, Jagger earned his Screen Actors Guild eligibility with a principal role in the Paul Thomas Anderson directed movie “The Master” in a scene opposite Phillip Seymour Hoffman (which was unfortunately cut, but still earned Jagger his SAG-E).  Jagger has also had guest lead or primary supporting roles in four different national television shows and has appeared in over a dozen national television show episodes.  He has also been in several regional television commercials and multiple short films.

Jagger also works as a marketing consultant and promotions specialist helping small businesses as well as artists and athletes with their publicity and promotion.  In addition, Jagger works part-time as a Certified Personal Trainer, something he became after losing over 120lbs.

Weighing in at 316lbs, Brian Jagger knew (and was flat out told by his Doctor) things needed to change.  After losing more than 140lbs, Jagger became inspired by those who found inspiration in his success.  To continue to help and inspire others to get fit, Jagger became an ACE Certified Personal Trainer (CPT).  Jagger currently trains and coaches from Anytime Fitness in Roseville, CA.

Far from easy, and littered along the way with more than the usual amount of difficulty, Jagger has lost the weight with more than a short-story to tell.  Marriage and family lost, medical complications, behavior and personality change, criminal activity… all that and more, Jagger has come through.  Fighting through the negative and focusing on getting “back to old Brian”, Jagger has persevered, gotten healthy, built back his family and dedicated himself to helping others get through the challenge of weight loss and fitness transformation, all while avoiding the pitfalls he encountered.

Now that things are “normal” medically for Jagger, he has earned his CPT and is proud to be helping others in their fitness goals.  He has also begun the foundations for his professional writing and acting career.

Brian came onto Fight 4 Your Life after having met creator Bryan Bachar via mutual colleague Marc Gardner.  Both Brian and Bryan had small roles in Marc’s short film, The Within.  Since then Brian has been in several one studios productions, including landing a role in F4YL.  We’re thrilled to have Mr. Jagger on board and look forward to continuing to build a lasting relationship!

Check out Brian on LinkedIn, Facebook, FitBodyRadio, Twitter and IMDb.

Jarita Givens

Jarita Givens has played in various short film roles throughout her career.  Her first background role in a major featured film was for HBO’s Hemingway and Gellhorn (2012), portraying a nurse in a scene with Academy Award® winner Nicole Kidman.

Fight 4 Your Life marks Jarita’s first prime role in a feature film, for which she plays Fleet’s loving mother.  She is extremely excited about F4YL and has been noted several times saying:

Gregory Young

Gregory Young began stage performances in 2007 and has completed numerous shows that include well known stage productions, such as Fiddler on the Roof, Diary of Anne Frank, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and Bus Stop.  Local original productions have been sandwiched in between, usually comedic in nature, with Mr. Young having played a Russian Ski Dance Coach and a Barney Fife-like local sheriff.

2013 was a big year for Gregory.  He portrayed Mr. Keller in the Miracle Worker, replacing the original cast character in only 10 days preparation.  He also partook in a stage performance of The Crucible at the Harris Center for the Arts, playing the role of Mr. Cheevers in the well known play.

It was also in 2013 Gregory was cast to play the character of Mr. Jenkins in Fight 4 Your Life.  He has been nothing but a joy to work with, extending his hand to help beyond just acting in his role, having been a huge help behind the scenes as well.  one studios is forever thankful to have met this talented actor, who recently had a small role in a short film we did for the 2014 Sacramento 48 Hour Film Festival.  The film is called Brownie Points, and Gregory did a fine job.

Without a doubt, we look forward to working more with Mr. Young.  We know much is to come from this awesome dude!
