Crew of all experience levels and skill sets are welcome to come aboard.  We’re looking for a wide variety of people to help with the process in order to ease the load on the whole, making it as enjoyable of a last leg of production as possible.  This is a great opportunity for all you hopeful filmmakers out there to gain some experience while also doing a bit of good old fashion networking.

As it sits we have had over 4o dedicated crew members help throughout this journey of a production.  Many of these passionate people have given their time and skills regularly on shoots.  Some have been able to help only once.  But even once is a huge help to the whole!  Several key, and rather large, scenes are scheduled to be shot during this final haul.  Trust us when we say it will be a great time to be had.  Please take a minute to get to know some of Fight 4 Your Life‘s dedicated crew, and cast.  These are some of the peeps you’ll be working with if you join the fight!

Okay, now let’s clear the air before you read any further…because we know you want to know.

It’s hard for us to say it, because we really wish we had the funding to say else wise, but this is not a paying project.  This is something we have always been straight forward and honest about since day 1.  Everyone involved, including the head members of the one studios crew, have been making this project happen for the love and passion they feel for Fight 4 Your Life, as well as for making movies in general.  It is our goal to complete this film in order to make everyone’s tremendous efforts worth it.

F4YL also serves as a building block for Northern California filmmaking, aiding in our community’s ongoing fight to grow and  make a name for itself in this industry, demonstrating with vigor what people can accomplish on the cinematic front when they come together and get things done.  Fight 4 Your Life has brought people from all walks of life into its fold.  It is a film made by the people for the people.  And one studios is honored to be at the helm.  We cannot thank everyone enough.  We will forever appreciate the dedication everyone has shown to get this positive message driven film completed.

So, if you’re a seasoned professional or experienced production person that can’t work for free, no worries.  This might not be for you and we totally understand and appreciate your craft.  We here at one studios know what you’re going through.  We get it.  And we aren’t in any way attempting to fast talk anyone.  We only want your support!

End Results of Our IndieGoGo Campaign to Fund Final Shoots

Thank you to everyone who took the time to shout out our now ended IndieGoGo funding campaign over the last 45 days.  We greatly appreciate your efforts!  And, of course, thank you so much to our generous donors!  We were able to raise nearly 30% of our goal for this campaign.  Now, that might not seem very good.  But that will at least guarantee the utmost minimal necessities to make Fight 4 Your Life‘s final shoots later this summer go forward.  That is a success in my book!

Remember, for those of you who missed out on donating that wanted to, you and your friends, family, colleagues and more can still donate directly via Fight4YourLifeMovie.com by clicking on the DONATE buttons spread throughout the site.  We will still honor the perk rewards detailed on the IndieGoGo page through this donation method as well.  So, be sure to check those out and read over the details!  You can also read up on our funding details on the Funding Campaign page of Fight4YourLifeMovie.com.

However, please note the automatic entry into our drawing for 2 free tickets to the F4YL premiere in December will not be honored after June 29, 2014, as we are choosing the 5 lucky winners on the final day of June.  If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact the one studios crew here.

The one studios crew is currently settling up the arrangements for the final shoots to be held in July or August of this summer, 2014.  In the mean time, we are continuing to shoot the remainder pickup shots of anything we can without our lead actor, Brandon J. Woods, who will be coming back out from Massachusetts to finish the film.  Getting Mr. Woods’ travel taken care of was a big part of why we held this IndieGoGo campaign, in addition to securing the funds for insurance, permits and more.

We will be keeping you all up to date as to what’s going on.  Expect some cool stuff ahead as we continue to add more bios, media and info to the site, travel to events to promote F4YL and…..drum roll please….prepare to launch our full length trailer upon the completion of filming!  Good stuff coming everyone!  Thank you for joining the fight!

All the best,

River City Saloon

Our friends at River City Saloon made our shoots there easy as pie.  Very accommodating to filmmakers, the staff at this fine establishment in Old Town Sacramento are friendly and understanding to the time it takes to make a movie.  We thank River City Saloon for its cooperation and support.  And an extra thanks goes out to Hollie for dealing with us!  Fight 4 Your Life and one studios loves you!

River City Saloon info:

River City Saloon  is located in  the historic Old Sacramento district. It has had a long history in Old Sacramento. It originally was an early framed wood building that was replaced  with brick in 1857. In 1861, River City Saloon was one of the  original houses of ill repute owned by Johanna Heigle. Shortly after that it became Parker French’s Saloon. It was owned by Mr. Parker French who was a colorful Old Sacramento Newspaper man that wanted a fun place to go after work. This Old Sacramento saloon was also known as an unruly place at times. Many stories of people being Shanghaied and taken out to sea have been heard.  During prohibition, it would be continually raided as it insisted it was only serving Sarsaparilla and alcohol for medicinal reasons.

In the 1960s, Old Sacramento and the saloon had fallen to hard times as the area had become the worst skid row west of the Mississippi. In 2007, the saloon  was remodeled to its original  grandeur and renamed the River City Saloon. The bar is a 1905 Triple Arch Brunswick just like the one that stood here in 1871. It was originally in a New York hotel that was demolished and then salvaged by Red Barron Antiques in Atlanta. The beautiful flocked wall paper is almost dead on for what donned the original place and the sawdust and peanut shells represent what was originally used in many saloons to keep the dirt down as many saloons had dirt floors.

Besides the great deli style sandwiches that River City Saloon offers, we also feature Old West Sarsaparilla brewed exclusively for us by River City Brewing Company also located in Old Sacramento. In-fact you can grab the kids and belly up to the bar and get one for just 25 cents! While your there ask for a basket of peanuts and don’t be afraid to throw the shells on the floor.

The River City Saloon in Old Sacramento also features Free wi-fi, a family priced menu of appetizers and award wining sandwiches, great video music, sports,  live music, karaoke and so much more.

So when your in Old Sacramento, don’t miss Sacramento’s last old west saloon,The River City Saloon.  We Serve  food all the way till close and hope to see you soon.

Late Night in Old Sacramento at The River City Saloon?
Open 7 days a week and 21 and over after 9pm with Free Pool on Wednesday nights, Live Music on Thursdays, and Karaoke on Friday and Saturday Nights.

Alonzo Chism – producer / line producer

Branden Alonzo Chism was born in Yuba City, California, in the summer of 1987.  After a few years his family would relocate to Fairfield, California, where he would spend the majority of his adolescence.

During his years spent at Fairfield High School, Alonzo joined the J.R.O.T.C program, where he adopted leadership skills, and the urge to push himself and peers.  The experience from J.R.O.T.C crossed over to a large organization, by the name of the Shriners, becoming captain of the color guard team.  This team as a whole represented the State of California, traveling to Philadelphia, Atlanta and New Orleans.  Alonzo and his team won first place in every competition, as well leading the parade in every city visited.

Graduating from Fairfield High School in 2005, he would apply to FIDM, the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, and be accepted. Unfortunately, he soon came to the understanding that he could not afford to educate himself in fashion, which had become a passion of his over the years.  Alonzo would move to Germany in the following months, to stay with his mother whom was now married to an officer in the military.  A year was spent saving and planning his way back to the states, back to California.  He would relocate 45 minutes away from his hometown, to Sacramento, California.

Meeting new people and friends, he decided to get into music, where he began producing hip-hop tracks.  Over time, photography and music has coexisted for him.  He has had the opportunity to work with artists such as Big Rich, Mistah Fab and Krumbsnatcha of the group Gangstarr, for whom Alonzo produced his first music video, co-directing the video as well.  The song was produced by Italian music producer Gregory B, whom Alonzo has also worked with.  Deciding to put a hold on music, which he was successful at and talented in, Alonzo turned his sites back on finishing school.

The decision to finish his schooling led Alonzo to transition further into photography.  It also has allowed him to find new niches in video production and filmmaking.  From studio shoots, weddings, special events and more, he consistently provides quality photos.  And having completed his first promo video “Introducing TreSolid”, he looks forward to his next video project, which will be completed later this year.

Alonzo feels honored to have worked with director Bryan Bachar for productions such as The Sacramento International Film Festival and the 5×5 Festival in Hollywood.  These projects have led him to Fight 4 Your Life, which he is nothing but elated to be a part of.  His time spent with DP of F4YL, Jeremy Guinn, who also directed the short Close Your Eyes for the 2013 Sacramento International Film Festival, which Alonzo was also a team member of, is highly cherished too.    In the past two years he has worked on set along with others learning the basics and becoming a staple for both Bryan and Jeremy’s projects.

Chism, or AC, as he is called, looks forward to continuing his pursuit in photography, film and music.  Currently a student at American River College, AC will be graduating with his degree in Business and a certificate in Green Technology.  Once Fight 4 Your Life has wrapped, he is thrilled to begin production on his short horror film, Hood Damnation.

Always a man of his word, extremely dependable and the “T” in team player, Alonzo has become a vital part of the one studios crew.   His tenacity and passion are highly valued and appreciated.

F4YL “Intro” Teaser Trailer (Feature Film) (VIDEO)

This is the first official teaser trailer of Fight 4 Your Life, the feature film debut from one studios.  Unlike trailers in the past, which have used footage from the short film version of F4YL, from which the F4YL feature stems, this is the first trailer that uses all actual footage from the upcoming full length film.  We hope you enjoy and are intrigued.  That’s what a teaser is meant to do!

Our goal with this trailer is to gain curiosity about our humble project here, as we realize there is much left to mystery even after watching it.  That’s the point amigos.  Teased yet?  😉

Keep your eyes peeled for more trailers in the near future, including the full length theatrical trailer, which will go into more depth about the film’s story and such.  For more info on F4YL be sure to check out the plethora of resources on this site.  Read up on character descriptions, cast and crew bios, the film’s plot, it’s origins and journey and more.  There’s also lots of awesome media for you to view and listen to.  Heck, there’s even free downloads for your enjoyment!

Ok, enough blabbing.  Here’s the trailer.  You can also view the “Running” teaser trailer, made from footage of the short film version of F4YL, HERE.  It might be fun to compare and contrast the two.

FIGHT!!!

F4YL “Running” Teaser Trailer (Short Film Version) (VIDEO)

The following teaser trailer was developed from the footage we shot in 2012 for the short film version of Fight 4 Your Life.  Our goal with this teaser was to demonstrate to the best of our abilities at the time the style and color schemes we were going to go for in developing the Fight 4 Your Life feature length film.  It’s important to note that the short was not shot with much of the color schemes, style, visual FX and more depicted in this trailer in mind.  So, it was a challenge to tweak things to a respectable level for what we wanted.

With that said, we were also aiming for this teaser to gather enough interest to gain the support of our local filmmaking community.  This was very important in the casting and development process, and more, because it allowed potential cast and crew to see we had a vision, and that we were not simply talking about it.  The teaser also showed we had already put in a lot of work on this project, further illustrating our seriousness about it coming to fruition.

The short film version of F4YL has only been seen by a select few people involved in that production.  We’ve held off showing it to people because it would reveal too much story line of the feature, which shares the same basic structure, even if immensely more detailed and added to.  Truly, they are two different films with strong likenesses, if that makes sense.  But we want that to be seen later, not now!

The actual finished version of the short has been seen by even fewer eyes since the version showed to most people was a rough cut.  Director/editor Bryan Bachar was already in heavy with the feature version of F4YL when he completed tying things up with the short.  So, there you go.

Plan to definitely see the short version of F4YL in the future though, likely on the DVD under special features when everything is said and done!  Then viewers can compare and contrast to all their hearts’ desire.  Anyway, here’s the teaser!  Can you see the similarities between it’s style, color schemes and more and those of the current feature version teaser trailer?  Check the feature “Intro” teaser trailer HERE.

New Teaser!!! – Official Feature Teaser RELEASE!

Supporters, friends, colleagues and all of the above, we are proud to announce the release of the first official teaser trailer for the feature length version of Fight 4 Your Life!  Is it a coincidence that the launch of this trailer falls near the birthday of Fleet Blackwood himself, Mr. Brandon J. Woods???  Nope.  No coincidence at all.  🙂  Happy BDay Mr. Woods!

The one studios crew is continuing to work hard on the ongoing production of F4YL.   But as we edge nearer and nearer to wrapping production we are able to put more info out about the film….to your benefit!  This teaser is meant to intrigue and entertain, leaving you wondering and wanting more….and keeping you coming back to the F4YL site for further media and info.  So, we hope it succeeds in doing so!

Expect more trailers in the near future, including the full length theatrical trailer.  We’ll also be releasing more character, cast and crew bios soon, as well as launching our Soundtrack Contest.  Lots on the horizon.  Lots coming at you quick!  Until then, keep up the good fight!

Another Set of Shoots Down!

Happy New Year everyone!  We truly hope your holiday season was a fantastic time, spent with all of your loved ones.

The one studios crew has been working diligently to ensure Fight 4 Your Life stays true to its course.  The holidays may have been upon us, but we continued to push!  From January 1st through January 5th we had F4YL star Brandon J. Woods back from the east coast, where he is attending the Harvard School of Medicine, to shoot a string of scenes.  The shoots went great!  And it was awesome to have Brandon, aka Fleet Blackwood, back on set.

As we progress into 2014….WOW…..one studios will be shooting further scenes/shots without Mr. Woods during the months of January, February and March.  Our teenage Fleet, Antonio Mulqueeney, will be taking the reins for several of these shoots.  Wish him luck!

In addition to these shoots, we will be preparing with much vigor for having Brandon back in the spring for his final shoots, which happen to be the final scenes that will be needed for Fight 4 Your Life‘s completion!!!  Exciting news indeed!  We can’t wait to finish, but we are taking in every moment of this journey.  It’s priceless.  And we have some great stuff coming for you to check out over the coming months to show our progress….one being the first official teaser trailer for F4YL!!!

Thank you, as always, to everyone involved throughout this strenuous process.  And for those that are not directly involved, thank you for your support!  Fight 4 Your Life would not be possible without each and every one of you.  A very special thanks to all of the location providers for this past week’s shoots:

Frank & KC Richmond

Terry Colorado

David of Center Ring Boxing

Eliot Kelly of El Dorado Hills Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Hollie of River City Saloon
